Anyways, you can book a room at inn, rent ponies or horses, and other things of interest here.

The Barrow-Downs are located in one of the Shire's four farthings (it's been a while since I've read the books). Anyways, this place is not in the movies - it was in the book, The Fellowship of the Ring. Very creepy place - watch out for those Dwarrow-dwights or whatever they're called. I forget. xD

This was once the ancient watch-tower of Amon Sul.

Weathertop used to be a watch-tower, from what I gather. It has long since been destroyed by some hazard.

Also known as Lorien (in the books, if I remember right), Lothlorien is one of the elvish woodlands. Also residence of the Galadriel and Celeborn.

Mirkwood is not in the movies or in any of the six Lord of the Rings books. In fact, Mirkwood is a dense forest full of large spiders that Bilbo travels through in The Hobbit. No G-moding or Power-playing.

Located south of Mirkwood, the Dead Marshes are found north of the Brown Lands. This place is slightly hard to describe, assuming someone hasn't seen the movie (but then I don't know why they are reading this board). Dead people underwater, basically.
And lots of little candles, as Gollum would say. ;D

Gondor is the home of Aragorn (duh). It consists of about six rounded white tower-like things that go upwards. Tolkien describes this waaay better than I can - see the picture on the board for more of a description.

Helm's Deep is a large, circularish fortress that was once occupied (remember that this site assumes the time before the second age). It was used for many battles and such.
